How the 2026 fees work
Since 2026-09-21 the commission depends on two things: your tier, set by your total sales across all categories in a 28-day period, and the category of the show (or of the product, for marketplace sales). In the US the Standard tier covers $0 – $14,999; Tier 1 starts at $15,000.00. A tier you reach lowers the rate for the next period, not the current one.
The commission is charged on the item price only. Payment processing is separate: 2.9% + $0.30 in the US on everything the buyer pays, shipping and tax included. On a $50.00 trading card sale with no shipping, the Standard tier takes $5.75 and leaves $44.25; at Tier 1 it takes $5.63.

Frequently asked questions
- How much does Whatnot take from a sale in 2026?
- At the US Standard tier: 8% commission on the item price for most categories (4% for coins), plus 2.9% + $0.30 processing on the buyer's total. On a $50.00 sale with no shipping that is $5.75, 11.5% of the price. Higher tiers lower the commission, not the processing.
- Are the tools free?
- Yes, all three, with no limit and no sign-up. Pro is a paid extra: the monthly P&L workbook built from the shows you load, printable and as an Excel file with formulas. The free tools do not change.
- Do you see my sales file?
- No. The CSV is read by your browser and never uploaded; only the totals per show are kept in this browser's storage so the Pro report can use them. Clearing them is one button.
